Cart Attributes
What are cart attributes?
These are added to improve the orders to session/user attribution and reporting. They are added in the order notes section of your orders. This helps us keep track of the transactions that were generated from your experiences.
It is important to understand that they these are not displayed to customers.

“I want to remove the Cart Attributes for my Store”
Kindly understand that these cart properties improve the accuracy of order-to-session and user attribution and removing them can cause discrepancies in collected metrics particularly Checkout tracking.
Issues caused by removing cart attributes include:
- Discrepancies in metrics related to checkout
- Checkout previews will not work
- Subscription items targeting and checkout cart targeting will not work
- Order attribution will miss some orders (mainly for Headless stores)
If you wish to proceed and remove them, this can be done by reaching out to our Support team.
Once removed, future orders will no longer have the Cart Attributes. Old orders cannot have these Cart Attributes removed.
