How Does Visually Keep Your Store and Data Secure?

At Visually, we take security very seriously. We understand the importance of protecting our platform and customers, especially as cybersecurity threats continue to evolve.

To help address potential security risks, we implement multiple layers of security measures, including continuous monitoring, vulnerability scanning, secure development practices, and security testing.

What Security Measures Does Visually Have in Place?

Visually implements several security measures across our infrastructure, development processes, and internal operations.

1. Infrastructure and Database Security

  • Database protection: Our databases are not directly exposed to the internet.
  • Cloud security: Our cloud services use intrusion detection systems (IDS), real-time vulnerability scanning, and an advanced firewall.

2. Continuous Security Monitoring

  • Our local development environments are continuously monitored for malware, intrusions, and phishing attacks.
  • We have anomaly detection alerts across multiple monitoring controls to help identify unusual activity and potential security threats.

3. Secure Development Practices

  • Code vulnerability scanning: Our code is scanned for known vulnerabilities before changes are merged.
  • Backend development: Our backend is built using Go, a statically typed programming language that helps prevent certain classes of programming errors.
  • JavaScript security scanning: Following the announcement of a third-party security incident, we started scanning the JavaScript we push to help detect unsafe code introduced accidentally or through an attacker's actions.

4. Security Testing

Visually conducted a penetration test in September 2026, which identified no high- or critical-severity issues.

5. Employee Security Awareness

Our employees receive security awareness training covering:

  • Recognizing phishing attempts.
  • Safely handling credentials and sensitive information.
  • Promptly reporting suspicious activity.

How Does Visually Address Emerging Security Threats?

Cybersecurity threats are constantly evolving, including phishing attacks and vulnerabilities that may affect third-party applications.

To help address these risks, we continuously monitor, review, and strengthen our security defenses.

As part of these efforts, we have also introduced JavaScript scanning to help detect potentially unsafe code introduced accidentally or through malicious activity.

While no set of security controls can eliminate every risk, we remain committed to continuously improving our security practices.

Is Visually Affected by PHP Security Vulnerabilities?

Is My Shopify Store Completely Protected From Security Threats?

No security system can guarantee complete protection against every potential threat.

At Visually, we recognize that cybersecurity is an ongoing effort against constantly evolving risks. This is why we continuously monitor, review, and strengthen our security defenses.
