How Contentsquare Integration Tracks Existing Experiences
What Happens When the Integration Is Enabled?

To enable the integration with Contentsquare, navigate to the integration section in your account and turn on the toggle for Contentsquare.

This will allow you to pull through the experience as a dynamic variable in Contentsquare. Make sure to follow the instructions in Contentsquare's help center to set this up.
How Contentsquare Integration Tracks Existing Experiences
When you enable the Contentsquare integration, Visually does not backfill or sync historical data from Experiences that were already live.
Instead, the integration begins sending tracking events for live Experiences going forward.
What Happens When the Integration Is Enabled?
Once the Contentsquare integration is enabled, Visually will begin sending events for live Experiences after approximately 15 minutes.
This means that Experiences that are already live when you enable the integration can be tracked, but only for sessions and activity that occur after the integration becomes active.
Is Historical Experience Data Synced?
No. The integration does not perform a historical sync or backfill.
For example, if an Experience has been live for one week and you enable the Contentsquare integration today:
- Data from the previous week will not be sent to Contentsquare.
- The Experience will begin sending tracking events approximately 15 minutes after the integration is enabled.
- New sessions and activity from that point onward can be tracked through Contentsquare.
What About New Experiences?
Any Experience that is live after the integration has been enabled can send tracking events to Contentsquare if the setup is confirmed to be successfully configured.
You do not need to wait for an Experience to be created after enabling the integration. The integration applies to live Experiences going forward.
The Contentsquare integration uses forward tracking, rather than a historical data sync.
Once enabled, Visually will begin sending events for live Experiences after approximately 15 minutes. Historical Experience activity from before the integration was enabled will not be backfilled into Contentsquare.
