We are Visually.io — a trusted Shopify app that provides an advanced, user-friendly alternative to the default Shopify theme editor. Our platform allows Shopify store owners to edit their live store theme directly in real time.
To enable this, we securely load the store’s theme within an iframe and use a controlled proxy that temporarily adjusts the HTML, JavaScript, and CSS of the theme for editing purposes only. These modifications are performed safely and exclusively for authenticated store owners to preview and apply design changes.
Below screenshot is an example of our editor in action. On the left you can see a real Shopify store iframe. The pink thing is our location picker that we inject into the iframe in order to allow interactive editing.
Then the user can edit the element he selected, adding different widgets and components our editor provides. ( Imagine WIX or Eliminator or Lovable for an existing Shopify site )
In this example the user chose to replace the Free Shipping anouncement.
In order to achieve all the functionality above and much more. We proxy all the requests made by the browser to Shopify and inject our code into the responses ( and other third parties the client may use ).
A real authenticated human user is always in charge and driving, loading the Shopify site in our editor and navigating different pages ( inside the iframe ).
